JXL Tutoring (“we/us”) collects minimal data to serve “you” (the client).

1. Information We Collect

• We collect names, basic contact information (emails and phone numbers), and student information (grade level, needs) through Google Forms.

• We use Squarespace cookies for site functionality and honor GPC opt-out signals. 

• We use your data only to provide tutoring, track progress, and comply with tax or safety reporting laws.

Note: We do not sell your info, nor do we use it for marketing or automated profiling that impacts educational opportunities. We have not sold data in the preceding 12 months.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

We share minimal data with trusted providers (Squarespace, Google, Venmo, and PayPal) strictly to host our site, store progress, and process payments.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites.

3. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. All student data must be provided with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn we have collected data from a minor without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.  General records are kept for two (2) years. Safeguarding records are held until a student reaches age 21 as required by law.

4. Your Rights & Appeals (Colorado only)

If you are a Colorado resident, you have the right to access, update, correct, port, or delete your personal information.

Appeals: If we deny a data rights request, you may appeal by emailing us. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General here.

5. Data Security & Breaches

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. In the unlikely event of a significant data breach, we will notify you via email within 30 days of discovery.
